Io e mia moglie Miki esprimiamo con orgoglio a tutta la Squadra dei Sogni le nostre personali congratulazioni. Noi siamo grati a tutti voi per aver condiviso e essere stati il Team dei Sogni. Il nome di Stians è inciso su di una targa sul pozzo no. 21, in un piccolo villaggio del Kenya, un pozzo che serve un numero di persone che dovevano prima camminare per ore per trasportare il loro fabbisogno quotidiano di acqua fresca. Questo pozzo è solamente uno in un numero di pozzi scavati dalla Liberia del nord ai confini del continente africano. Questo progetto,"Sabbia per Acqua", è stato sponsorizzato dal Kiwanis Distretto Italia-San Marino negli ultimi anni. Come tributo a me per sostenere il progetto nel Distretto Norden durante il mio anno di Governatore, il mio buon amico, Governatore 2001-2002 Francesco Mignolo Distretto Italia-San Marino, mi ha chiesto cosa poteva darmi in cambio del mio appoggio. Gli dissi che avrei gradito che ad uno dei pozzi fosse dato il nome del mio caro nipote Stian, e così fu. La mia speranza è di poter andare là una volta, visitare le persone per le quali questo pozzo ha tanto significato e vedere il grande lavoro che Distretto Italia ha eseguito in Africa. Questa è stato il meglio del lavoro Kiwanis e può essere seguito su internet visitando il Distretto Italia ed il nome" Sabbia per Acqua."

Ancora una volta, a tutti voi, Grazie molto Per essere voi, Per essere ciò che voi siete Per Fare quello che voi Fate!

Caro presidente,
