Activities
Communication &
Information
A major emphasis is
put on communication and information towards Kiwanis
members and their clubs. To date, the RSC has edited and
printed numerous publications, among which
- Officers Manuals: manuals that need
to guide the club officers (president, secretary and
treasurer) and the Lt-Governors in their tasks. Other
manuals are available for District Secretaries &
Governors.
- New Club Builder/KIAR Manual : guides
Kiwanians in building new clubs.
- Information Brochure & Leaflet :
general information about the Kiwanis organization for
members and potential members.
- Leaflets & Threefold : general
information about conventions, projects,….
- Corporate Identity manual for Kiwanis
members and clubs : to guide clubs in the uniform use of
the Kiwanis images and logo’s for their publications and
websites.
- Kiwanis Sponsored Youth Organisations
: information on programs, such as Builders club, Key
Club, Circle K, Kiwanis Junior, etc…
All these publications
are available in at least seven languages as we are trying
to serve a majority of our members in their native
language. That is why a large amount of our time is spent
on translations.
Membership & new club
building
This department is
responsible for member services and the expansion of
Kiwanis in districts and in non-districted areas (when
referring to expansion, it implies internal expansion as
well as new club building), including the Sponsor Youth
Organisations
In non-districted areas, the membership & NCB department :

providing administrative assistance.

newly built clubs.

registration procedure when entering a new country where
Kiwanis clubs are non-existent thus far

Service Representatives – FSR’s) hired to work locally
on building new clubs in non-districted countries.

officers of clubs in remote area’s to prevent them from
getting isolated within our organisation
- assists countries in their search for
new service projects
Within the districts : the membership &
NCB department :
- provides assistance to district
officers responsible for new club building & growth
- assists the district board in the
establishment of a strategy plan

Dues Collection
The RSC is responsible
for the yearly dues collection of the European Clubs.
Follow-up and assistance is provided by our staff members.
Kiwanis International
European Federation
Based on a yearly
renewable contract between Kiwanis International and the
KI European Federation, the RSC provides a certain number
of services. It deals with administration in general, but
also with the organisation and registration of the
European Convention. The RSC is also responsible for
hosting and organizing the meetings of the KI-EF Board.
Kiwanis International
Foundation in Europe
The RSC assists the
KI-EF and the KI Foundation in promoting the contract that
was signed at the European Convention 2000 in Oostende.
The contract stipulates that all foundation money
collected in Europe will be used to support service
projects in Europe. A bank account has been opened in Gent,
Belgium.
KEP, or the Kiwanis
Education Program
As part of the
agreement between KI-EF and KI Foundation, it was decided
to start a European service project that mainly
concentrates on the education of youngsters living in
countries with a poor education system. All the European
Kiwanis clubs are asked to be involved in the realization
of this project on a long term basis. More detailed
information is available on this site, under “Projects”.
Conferences
The RSC offers easy
accessible facilities for meetings and conferences. In the
last six years, it has organized conferences on IDD,
Marketing, Female Membership, Kiwanis Junior and New Club
Building, but also KIEF Board & Council meetings, District
Secretary Trainings, Governors-elect Conferences, Train
the Trainers Conferences, etc. The RSC staff is also
responsible for organizing accommodation, meals, local
transportation and meeting materials. They also serve as
interpreter when required.
The RSC auditorium – with seating for up to 50 people – is
used for meetings and conferences with high attendance and
can be used by clubs and districts upon availability and
with the prior consent of the RSC Directors.
The Regional Service
Center staff is daily available
from 8:30 to 17:00,
Monday to Friday.
